Sketching out loud interior designs with AI.

The course is designed for architects and interior designers.

It starts with a base file and builds design ideas in plan then apply them to real-world situations in perspective.

The training goes through digital sketching techniques such as drawing to scale, sketching with vectors, and using grids and aids over imported content. It also explains how to transform and match plans to perspective views, manage layers, and apply different colouring styles. In addition, the course explores methods to convert coloured sketches or illustrations into renders with the help of generative AI tools.

The main focus is to encourage fast idea development and clear communication, offering a wide range of skills to express and assess design concepts.

What will you learn in this course?

By the end of this course you will have:

  • A solid understanding of various vector-based digital sketching techniques.

  • Hands-on experience using a tablet and stylus to sketch over external content,
    explore ideas, and create illustrations.

  • Use generative AI tools to transform sketches into renders with different styles.

  • The ability to apply these skills across various contexts, and explore design options.

What is the course's project?

This course uses a kitchen plan design as its central study and is divided into three phases.

The first phase covers the setup and the platform introduction, importing references, and setting the drawing scale. The course introduces layers, various tools and settings, and an initial exploration of design ideas.

In the second phase, the layout is mapped in a 3D view using perspective tools, evolving the basic concept into a detailed, coloured illustration.

The final phase exports the illustration to a generative AI tool, where different material studies and moods are applied to produce a variety of render styles.

Who is this course for?

This course is for beginners and intermediate users seeking foundational knowledge in various topics and techniques. It introduces digital sketching and AI methods and is ideal for those exploring digital sketching and AI to determine their best approach.
