Sketching out loud isometric views
This introductory to advanced course is designed for architects, engineers, designers, and anyone looking to experiment with and transform conceptual plans into isometric views. Participants will learn digital sketching methods, use drawings to scale, sketching with vectors, guide grids, layer techniques, and coloring methods, along with detailed approaches for converting 2D sketches into isometric illustrations.
The Sketching Out Loud series emphasizes rapid iteration of ideas and streamlined communication. It equips learners with a versatile toolkit of skills that support quick expression and evaluation of ideas.
What will you learn in this course?
By the end of this course, you will have:
A solid understanding of various vector-based digital sketching techniques.
Hands-on experience using a tablet and stylus to sketch over external content,
explore ideas, and create illustrations.Turn 2D drawings and plans into isometric illustrations.
The ability to apply these skills across various contexts, and explore design options.

What is the course's project?
The course uses both a site plan and an aerial view for its practical study. It opens with an introduction to the platform, then moves into importing the reference material and setting up for the drawing process.
In the second phase, participants master the use of layers, delve into an array of tools and their settings, and begin to experiment with design ideas in a plan format.
In the final stage, the initial plan is transformed into an axonometric view and enriched with detailed color illustrations.
Who is this course for?
This course is for beginners and intermediate users seeking foundational knowledge in various topics and techniques. It introduces digital sketching to scale in both plan and isometric and is ideal for those exploring digital sketching.
